Shabana may give Cong a 'hand' in Ajmer
JAIPUR: Congress wants to field Bollywood actress Shabana Azmi from the Ajmer Lok Sabha seat, according to sources here.
Party spoke-sman Raghu Sharma said it has been decided that a minority candidate be fielded from Ajmer constituency because of its special significance.
A lobby close to former CM Ashok Gehlot is said to be backing Shabana’s candidature. Shabana’s name was first suggested for the Jaipur seat.
